Type: Direct Hire, Full Time Compensation: Starting at $65k with the potential for much more, DOE
Position Overview :
Collaborate with vendors, production team, and contract manufacturers.
Ensure that each project timeline is met and that projects stay within budget.
Establish engineering procedures, standards, and best practices.
Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products.
Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
Create and review technical drawings and specifications using computer software.
Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration.
Assist in forecasting costs associated with the use of materials and engineering services.
Develop testing processes; perform testing and validation of new designs.
Perform documentation to track project development and design process.
Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field required
Some experience working as a mechanical engineer, with a firm grasp of engineering concepts
Exceptional math skills
Proficient and experienced in the use of SolidWorks
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
