Accounting Manager

Location: Fargo, ND
Type of Position: Direct Hire, Full Time
Compensation: Starting at $85k/year, DOE

Position Overview: 
  • Manage 2-3 direct reports in the accounting department.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and the annual budget.
  • Recommend, review, and monitor compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting, ensuring accuracy while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), internal control procedures, and compliance with PCAOB guidelines; assist with SEC filings.




Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance or accounting; Associate degree with a mix of experience may be considered
  • 3+ years of accounting experience required; supervisory experience preferred
  • Property/Asset management experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and strategic problem-solving skills

If you could interview anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? I’d interview John Wooden who was the basketball coach at UCLA.  He was an excellent basketball coach but an even better teacher of life principles which I’m passionate about.

What are your top 3 life highlights or personal accomplishments? Ran a Full Marathon, Played College Football & Made the Decision to Live a Life of Continuous Growth
