Type: Full-time, Direct Hire Location: Fargo, ND Compensation: Starting at$90k/year, DOE
Position Overview:
Lead and manage the engineering team, including engineers, drafters, and support staff.
Oversee the design and detailing of structural steel components, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
Develop and implement engineering standards, processes, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
Provide technical guidance and support to the team, addressing challenges and ensuring problem resolution.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
Foster a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement within the engineering department.
Stay up to date with industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:
Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
Proven experience in engineering management within the structural steel fabrication industry.
Strong knowledge of structural design, steel detailing, and fabrication processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
