Local church is looking for a Kitchen Manager. This person will ensure a welcoming, safe, and well-organized space that supports hospitality, fellowship events, and ministry activities.
The Kitchen Manager will oversee kitchen operations, manage inventory, coordinate volunteers, and ensure compliance with food safety standards. A primary responsibility is preparing meals for the Wednesday evening program and coordinating Sunday morning hospitality.
Type: Part-time (10-15 hours/week)
Salary Range: $19/hr

Position Overview:
Plan and coordinate: Work with ministry leaders to organize and oversee food preparation for church events, fellowship gatherings, and ministry activities.
Compliance: Ensure kitchen operations follow all health department regulations and church policies. Maintain kitchen standards: Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, and storage areas. Develop a cleaning schedule and protocols for weekly, monthly, and seasonal maintenance.
Volunteer management: Recruit (in conjunction with Connection Director), schedule, and train kitchen volunteers for various events.
Budget and supplies: Assist in preparing and managing the budget for the kitchen, fellowship events, and Wednesday evening meals. Order and maintain food, beverage, and supply inventory for the kitchen and coffee shop within budget guidelines.
Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:
Previous kitchen management experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to organize and maintain schedules
Proven leadership skills, team management, and friendly demeanor
