Job Position: Office Manager
Location: Fargo, ND 58104
Salary: $47, 840.00-49, 920.00
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday - 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12pm unless working Sunday
2-3, Sundays/month - 8am-12pm - have corresponding Friday off that week.

Position Summary: The Office Manager in this non-profit organization provides leadership and oversight of daily administrative operations to ensure the office functions efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with the mission and ministry of the congregation. This position serves as administrative support to pastoral staff, ministry leaders, and the council while maintaining systems that support financial integrity, confidentiality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Office Administration & Operations
Oversee daily church office operations and workflow.
Maintain office policies, procedures, and administrative systems.
Supervise and coordinate front office communications and visitor reception.
Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
Human Resources Support
Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.
Support performance documentation and compliance tracking.
Communication & Ministry Coordination
Assist with weekly bulletins, newsletters, and internal communications.
Maintain church calendar and coordinate facility scheduling.
Serve as primary point of contact for members and community inquiries.
Support ministry leaders with administrative needs.
Governance & Compliance
Maintain official church records and document retention practices.
Support Church Council and annual meeting preparation, minutes, and
documentation.
Assist with regulatory filings and annual reporting requirements as directed.
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 3 5 years of administrative or office management experience.
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, church management software (general database - will teach specific), and financial systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Commitment to supporting the mission and values of the organization.
Preferred
Experience in a church or nonprofit setting.
Familiarity with database entry and maintenance.
Experience supporting boards, councils, or committees.
