Job Description
Senior Permitting Specialist
We are seeking a Senior Permitting Specialist to lead permitting strategy and regulatory coordination for utility-scale energy and infrastructure projects, including solar, wind, energy storage, and energy parks. This role plays a key part in advancing complex developments by ensuring compliance with all land-use and environmental requirements while working closely with internal teams, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
Lead land-use and environmental permitting efforts for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.
Research and interpret local, state, and federal permitting requirements.
Prepare and manage permit applications and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies, consultants, and internal project teams.
Represent the company at public meetings, regulatory hearings, and stakeholder discussions.
Manage environmental review processes, including wetlands, endangered species, cultural resources, and stormwater.
Support permitting related to substations, transmission infrastructure, and utility interconnections.
Monitor regulatory changes and support project compliance throughout development.
Assist with project planning, mapping, and coordination efforts.
Manage consultants providing environmental and regulatory support.

5+ years of relevant permitting or regulatory experience

Familiarity with NEPA and environmental permitting frameworks preferred
Experience working with federal and state agencies preferred
